Item: Mustafar dress sketch
Artist: Beck Seashols
Size: 2.5″ x 3.5″
Set: Rebel Legion Celebration VI Artist Series
Price: $12.50 (average)

For Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida, in August 2012, the Rebel Legion created a set of cards from artist sketches. Beck Seashols did at least eight sketches for the set and they will be featured this week. This sketch sees Senator Padme Amidala in the dress she wore when she confronted her husband Anakin Skywalker on Mustafar in Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith.

I acquired this card in a lot of sketch cards in the silent auction at the Rebel Legion Charity Dinner during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.

Item: Peacock dress sketch

For Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida, in August 2012, the Rebel Legion created a set of cards from artist sketches. Beck Seashols did at least eight sketches for the set and they will be featured this week. Based on her hair and the general design of her outfit, I believe this sketch is of Senator Padme Amidala in the “Peacock dress” she wore when meeting with Chancellor Palpatine to discuss the conclusion that he had grasped and held on to too much power.

I acquired this card in a lot of sketch cards in the silent auction at the Rebel Legion Charity Dinner during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.

Day 82: Limited Edition “Lucky Sevens” playing card

Cartamundi

Item: Limited Edition “Lucky Sevens” playing card
Backside Artist: Tsuneo Sanda
Manufacturer: Cartamundi
Event: Star Wars Celebration Anaheim
Price: Free

Cartamundi gave away “Lucky Sevens” playing cards during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. Each card was a 7 in a different suit. These exclusive to Celebration Anaheim playing cards feature photographs of the most iconic “4 of a kind” characters in the Star Wars galaxy! Each giveaway card features a different card back design from an existing deck of Cartamundi-made Star Wars playing cards. Limit 1 per person per day. Each card is available for one day

One card featured Obi-Wan Kenobi as the seven of diamonds. The backside features art by Tsuneo Sanda that was on the prequels deck from the Star Wars Saga 2-pack.

I received this card for free from Cartamundi at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim in April 2015.

Day 78: Celebration III print by Corroney and Carlisle

20141130_134032

Title: Revenge of the Sith
Artist: Joe Corroney and Jeff Carlisle
Event: Star Wars Celebration III
Size: 12″ x 17″
Paper: 4-color process lithograph on 90# cover stock
Price: $20~40

This is a somewhat unusual piece as it is artwork for a Star Wars Celebration III limited edition print, but the bottom of the print where it would have the edition number, copyright, and Joecorroney.com link are missing. The original version (pictured above) is still for sale on Joe Corroney’s Storeenvy site, so it’s not like he cut off the bottom of the prints that didn’t sell during Celebration. Nevertheless, my print is signed by Joe Corroney.

I know I didn’t buy this directly from Joe Corroney, but I cannot determine where or for how much I did purchase it.

Artist: Jason Palmer
Edition: 27/250
Event: Star Wars Celebration IV
Size: 36″ x 24″
Paper: Giclee print on Satin paper
Price: $62

Having previously drawn Padme Amidala in several different outfits, Jason Palmer opted to do all of them for his limited edition print for Star Wars Celebration IV and Star Wars Celebration Europe. The print has 38 different outfits with oversized images of the Naboo Celebration dress, the Picnic dress, the Geonosis Arena outfit, the Fireside dress, and her funeral attire. Before creating the collage, Jason started with individual sketches of each outfit. All of those sketches and the original print were purchased by Lucasfilm.

I purchased this print on May 24, 2007, during Star Wars Celebration IV in the Los Angeles Convention Center.

From 2005-2009, Hasbro produced nearly every ship seen in a Star Wars film plus many that weren’t in their Titanium series of die cast vehicles. The Star Skiff can be seen at the beginning of Attack of the Clones and the end of Revenge of the Sith.
