Item: “So This Is How Liberty Dies, With Thunderous Applause…”
Set: Star Wars Galactic Files series 2
Subset: Classic Lines
Manufacturer: Topps
Card: CL-6
Price: $65.94 (included in complete set)

After years of manipulation and deception on a galactic scale, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine seizes ultimate control of the Senate under the pretest of defending this union of myriad worlds from Jedi aggression. Aware of what is truly transpiring, a forlorn and bitter Padmé Amidala comments on the irony of this tragic development.

My boxes of Galactic Files series 2 cards did not contain the expected inserts, so I bought a nearly complete mini-master set from Cedar Cliff Collectibles in August 2013.

Day 188: Star Wars Celebration III badges pin set #188/275

Item: Star Wars Celebration III badges pin set
Event: Star Wars Celebration III
Price: $170

I couldn’t find a good picture of the pin set, so I’ve included a photo of the actual badges. As you can see, both the adult and child badges for Saturday feature Senator Amidala. The adult badge has art based on Revenge of the Sith, while the child’s badge has art based on Star Wars: Clone Wars micro-series.

I pre-ordered the set from Intergalactic Trading Company at Star Wars Celebration III in Indianapolis, Indiana, and received it later that month.

This Special Edition M1 Top-Up phone card features Senator Padmé Amidala from Star Wars: Episode III–Revenge of the Sith. With an original value of $18, this phone card can be reloaded until expiration on December 31, 2006.

Evolution Update 47Evolution Update 47 back

Item: Padme Amidala
Manufacturer: Topps
Set: Star Wars Evolution Update Edition
Card: 47
Price: $275 for case

Topps released Star Wars Evolution in 2001. After the release of Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith were released, Topps released an Update Edition in 2006. The Evolution sets feature the characters of the saga. The Padme Amidala base card sees a portrait of the Senator in the outfit she wore on Mustafar. with a 3/4 shot in the background of the same outfit.

I purchased a case of Star Wars Evolution Update cards from Craig Herman in August 2006.

Day 100: Padmé by Russell Walks

Title: Padmé
Artist: Russell Walks
Edition: 100/250
Event: Star Wars Celebration III
Size: 19″ x 13.5″
Price: $50

Russell Walks created this beautiful print of Senator Padmé Amidala with a background of her former residence, the Theed Palace of Naboo, for the Art Show at Star Wars Celebration III. While the Art Show is now a staple of Star Wars Celebration with artists competing for one of a limited number of spots to sell an exclusive art print, this was the first art show and you had to make an effort to even find it.

On the last day of Star Wars Celebration III in Indianapolis, I came across the Celebration Art Show. I purchased the print directly from Russell Walks, although like the current art show, I may have had to pay through an intermediary.

Day 99: Rebel Legion Artist Series sketch by Beck Seashols

Item: Original sketch
Artist: Beck Seashols
Size: 2.5″ x 3.5″
Set: Rebel Legion Celebration VI Artist Series
Price: $12.50 (average)

For Star Wars Celebration VI in Orlando, Florida, in August 2012, the Rebel Legion created a set of cards from artist sketches. Beck Seashols did at least eight sketches for the set and they will be featured this week. I think this is the outfit that Senator Amidala wore when the Delegation of 2000 met in her apartment.

I acquired this card in a lot of sketch cards in the silent auction at the Rebel Legion Charity Dinner during Star Wars Celebration Anaheim.
